The wedge

One app for your pump truck and your porta-johns

If you already pump septic, your restroom rentals and routes run in the same RouteHouse app, on the same trucks. Combined routes, one customer list, one login, one bill. The porta-john side stops being a separate spreadsheet and a second system — and nobody's entering the same job twice.

  • Combined routes. Septic pumps and restroom service stops land on one route for the day, ordered around real drive time.
  • One customer list. The site that rents your units and the property you pump live in the same book — no re-typing addresses into two tools.
  • The app can even warn you how full the truck is as you pump, so you know when to dump. *
  • Already run another RouteHouse edition? Restrooms add on at a discount — one login, one bill, less than a standalone subscription.

The things the generic job apps don't do well

Live unit inventory

See every unit at a glance — what's in the yard, what's out on rent, where each one sits, when it was last serviced, and what's down for repair. Track your fleet as simple counts by model, or tag and manage individual units — your choice.

Rentals and routes in one

Place units on a job site, set the service schedule — weekly, every two weeks, your call — and the app builds the service route for you. The rental and the recurring cleaning live together, not in two systems.

Service a whole event in one go

Working a festival or a big site with dozens of units? Lay it out in named areas with a map pin at each drop-off, then service the whole event in one visit and one report — so whoever's there next week always knows where every unit sits.

Delivery, pickup & relocate

Drop-offs, pickups and relocations get scheduled like any other job and land on the route. When the job's done, the unit's location and status update themselves — no separate log to keep current.

Set up each site for how it really runs

A construction route on a weekly cadence, a busy event on its own schedule — and tell the app the hours you're allowed on site, so it only routes you when you can actually get in.

The same truck as your septic pumping

Run restrooms and septic on one app, one truck, one route, with shared disposal tracking — and the app can even warn you how full the truck is as you pump, so you know when to dump.*

Print unit labels for your fleet

Print a label for any unit — or your whole fleet at once — on a standard label printer, so every unit carries its own tag. Scanning a tag to log service on site, and auto-printing straight to the label printer, are on the way.*

Proof of service, every stop

Service reports with photos, emailed or texted to the customer — so there's never a question of whether a unit was cleaned. And "we're servicing your site tomorrow" texts mean fewer surprised customers and fewer missed stops.

* On the roadmap — in active development, not available in today's release.

How it works

From the yard to a serviced unit in four steps

1

Stock the yard

Add your units — as simple counts by model, or tagged one by one. The app knows what you own and where each one is.

2

Place & schedule

Drop units on a job site, set how often they're serviced, and the app builds the service route and books the delivery and pickup.

3

Run the route

The crew gets one-tap directions, services each unit, snaps photos, and every unit's location and status updates itself as the day runs.

4

Prove it & bill it

Proof-of-service reports go out with photos, customers get their texts, and the office sees the whole day from home — no chasing the field.

Runs in the browser on any tablet or phone — nothing to install from an app store. See system requirements & what to buy →

See it in the app

Real screens, not mockups

These are the actual RouteHouse for Portable Restrooms screens — the field app your crew uses in the truck, and the office console you run the yard and the schedule from.

RouteHouse Portable Restrooms office console showing the unit fleet and yard, with unit models and rentals by site

Your whole yard, live

Every unit in the fleet — what's in the yard, what's out on rent, what needs service — with your unit models, labels and rentals by site.

RouteHouse restrooms schedule calendar for September with event drops and weekly service routes assigned to drivers

Events, one-off drops and weekly service routes on one calendar, each job assigned to a driver — tap a day to see who's doing what.

RouteHouse Deploy units screen placing standard, ADA and handwash units into named areas with satellite map pins

Deploy units, pin every spot

Place the order into each area, set the standard / ADA / handwash counts, and drop a map pin at each drop — so the next crew walks straight to it.

RouteHouse Portable Restrooms current-job screen for Riverline Music Fest — a 40-unit daily event service with the office note, one-tap arrive, and invoice fields

Run the event job start to finish

The day's job with the office note right on it — one-tap arrive, and bill the event org, not the venue. Big annual events, handled the same way every time.

RouteHouse on-site service screen with units serviced, condition on arrival and service performed, ready to complete the job

Log the service, prove it's done

Units serviced, condition on arrival and exactly what was performed — captured on site with photos and rolled straight into the job.

RouteHouse Septic empty-truck screen showing the discharge site and a log of truck empties with gallons and tickets

The same truck as your septic pumping

Run restrooms and septic in one app on one truck — the septic side tracks discharge sites and logs every truck empty, gallons and all.

Questions

Portable Restrooms, answered

  • Can I run this and my septic business in the same app? Yes — that's the point. If you pump septic, your restroom rentals, routes and servicing live in the same RouteHouse app on the same trucks, with one customer list and combined routes.
  • Do I have to barcode every unit? No. Track your fleet as simple counts by model, or tag and manage individual units if you want that level of detail — the app does both. (Scanning a tag to pull up a unit is on the way.*)
  • Does it handle rentals and the cleaning routes? Yes — you place units on a site, set how often they're serviced, and the app builds the route and keeps every unit's location and status current as you deliver, service and pick up.
  • Can customers get reminders? Yes — automatic texts for upcoming service and schedule changes are built in.

Beyond the route

Fill the schedule, and get paid faster

The field app runs the service route. This side grows the business — booking, billing, texting and the integrations operators ask for most. It's all built into the same platform.

Weather-aware scheduling Pro

A 7-day forecast sits on your schedule and flags the days that put weather-sensitive work at risk — each tech sees it on his own jobs. For restrooms that means most routes run rain or shine, but the forecast still flags the event set-up a storm could complicate.

Calendar sync Pro

Your whole schedule in Google, Apple or Outlook — plus a private per-tech link so each person sees only his own route, nobody else's.

Website lead capture Pro

Turn your site into a booking engine. Use a hosted request page or embed it on your own site — requests land right in your schedule and convert to a job or quote in one tap, with address autocomplete and an optional auto-text confirmation.

Business texting

Text from your own registered business number — reminders and a two-way message center with replies and a chime, plus automatic STOP opt-outs handled for you.

Online card payments

Send a secure "Pay this invoice" link by email or text. Paid and owing reconcile themselves, with an optional cash discount if you'd rather steer customers off cards.

Quotes & estimates

Branded, line-item estimates sent by email or text. Track what's been sent, and turn a won quote into a scheduled job in one tap — no re-typing.For restrooms that means an event or long-term rental quote a customer can approve by text.

QuickBooks Online

Push invoices straight to QuickBooks — no CSV in the middle. Run it by hand or set it automatic on a daily or weekly schedule, with tax-mismatch review flags before anything posts.

Service-due reminders

A recurring-service pipeline with a dollar forecast — this month out to five years — so you can see the repeat revenue coming and rebook a customer in one tap.For restrooms that means recurring rental service cycles, forecast as money on the calendar.

Follow-up leads

Any report that flags a problem becomes a bookable repair lead — nothing that needs a return visit slips through the cracks, and the work is already scoped. For restrooms that means a tipped or damaged unit noted on service turns into a swap or repair on the books.

Prices shown are per plan, not per user — unlimited drivers and office staff on every tier. Annual plans are billed as the annual total shown (e.g. $1,190 per year) — that's two months free versus paying monthly. Fleet size is a guide, not a hard cap; we'll help you land on the right tier. The Fleet tier is quoted to your operation. Prices exclude applicable taxes.
